Privacy Policy

1. Overview

BoopLog is local-first: journals, photos, weight, and reminders are stored on your device by default. This policy applies to the BoopLog iOS app. Using the app means you acknowledge the practices described here.

2. Information we process

This may include: pet profiles (name, gender, birthday, home day, avatar, etc.), journals and photos, weight entries, reminders, feedback you submit, and Apple-provided transaction credentials needed for subscriptions or restore (we do not receive your full payment card number). When you use Sign in with Apple (current version), we also process the sign-in identifier Apple provides. This information is mainly used on-device for journaling, reminders, and membership features.

3. Permissions

Camera & Photos: used only when you take or pick photos or save exports. Notifications: used only after you enable reminders for schedules or milestones. Motion & orientation: used for the album’s gravity “moe figure” interaction when enabled. You can revoke permissions in system Settings anytime; related features may stop working, but other local records remain.

4. Storage, transfer, and sync

Core records stay on-device by default; we do not require upload to our own servers for basic features. Pro members may enable iCloud Sync in Settings so journals and photos sync across devices via Apple iCloud (handled by Apple; we do not run our own cloud). Turning sync off keeps local data. Content you share or export is handled by the destination service under its own policy.

5. Third-party services

Subscriptions and payments are handled by Apple. The current sign-in method is Sign in with Apple. We do not currently integrate third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your information for ad targeting. If we add other sign-in methods or services later, we will update this policy.

6. Retention and deletion

Local data remains while you use the app on this device. You may delete your account or clear local data in Settings; afterward, records are removed and usually unrecoverable—back up first if needed. Uninstalling may clear local data depending on device and system settings.

7. Minors

If you are a minor, use the app with a guardian’s guidance and ensure they read this policy. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children beyond what features require.

8. Your rights

You may view and correct on-device records, and stop use by deleting data or uninstalling. Manage subscriptions and refunds through your Apple account and App Store support.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy and show the latest version and date in-app or on this page. If updates materially change your rights, we will provide reasonable notice.
